Green River 6/9 Update

June 9th, 2012

The Green has peaked and the river is starting to come down to it’s summer levels.  Currently flows at the Warren Bridge are 2,000 cfs, down from a peak of around 2,700.  Beforethe peak we saw some big salmon flies and golden stones starting to appear.  We expect the bug activity on the Green to be fantastic this year and it should start soon.  If you are an eager angler, the current level on the Green is a bit high, but definitely fishable, the clarity will be the biggest issue, as of this report it is a bit muddy, but should clear up rather quickly.  We are expecting some cooler weather this next few days and that will probally help clear it up faster.  Come by the shop for the latest info and to get some bugs.
