Gros Ventre River – Entire Waterway

As summer gets started, there are some great options for fishing in the Gros Ventre area despite the high waters due to snow run-off. Although the Gros Ventre river is currently blown out, look to the lakes for a great source of fishing activity. Jenny Lake has been fishing very well along with other high mountain lakes. Jenny Lake, String Lake, and Leigh Lake are all good possibilities for catching fish. We have been having great success with pheasant tail nymphs and other sub-surface flies. We have also caught some very nice fish on lakes up the Gros Ventre Road despite the unfavorable river conditions. No need to be discouraged by the muddy waters, still many fish to be caught in the Jackson area!
