Green River update with Rob Ross

August 2nd, 2012

July on the Green was a blast.  We had good water levels, hungry fish and a lot of happy clients.  As we enter August, the fishing is still productive, but you may encounter a lull in the hottest part of the day.  The hoppers are out and the fish are looking for them along the deeper cut banks.  Find some shady cover and you will likely find some fish looking for hoppers, trailing a large nymph a few feet under water is a great way to get those fish that are chilling in the slow deep runs.  An early start is key to having a successful trip, but if you are persistant, you can find fish all day long.  Come see us at the shop for the latest reports.
