The Henry's Fork near Ashton, ID, is another river that gets the anglers attention in the winter. The river is low and cold right now, but the fishing is consistant with it's normal winter action. Mostly nymphing and swinging small streamers, on sunny, or warmer days, we are seeing some midge hatches which tends to get a few fish looking up, but the best action is sub-surface. Pay attention to the regulations, as some stretches are not open at this time of year. To be safe, concentrate between Warm River and the Ashton Reservoir.... more...
