The Henry's Fork near Ashton, ID, is another river that gets the anglers attention in the winter.  The river is low and cold right now, but the fishing is consistant with it's normal winter action.  Mostly nymphing and swinging small streamers, on sunny, or warmer days, we are seeing some midge hatches which tends to get a few fish looking up, but the best action is sub-surface.  Pay attention to the regulations, as some stretches are not open at this time of year.  To be safe, concentrate between Warm River and the Ashton Reservoir.... more...

The Harriman Ranch section of the Henrys Fork opens today. Be on the lookout for Green Drakes up there. We have only heard a few reports from up there the last week, but it seems that the dry fly fishing has been decent. If you get up there, let us know how you did. Don't forget about Henrys Fork Days up in Island Park on Saturday June 16th. There will be a casting contest, food, raffles and auctions and a banquet at the end of the day to help support the Henrys Fork Foundation.more...
