Green River / Pinedale Report

The Pinedale area is home to many streams and lakes.  The highlights are the Green River and the New Fork.  The Green is a great river for all, while the New Fork is for the more seasoned angler, 18 hour days are not uncommon.  These smaller and lesser known fisheries offer some of the best Brown Trout fishing in our region.

The Green is still pretty fishy for the brave souls who can get down there early. Good reports of nice fish are coming in daily around 1:00pm. That means that they are off the water by 11am and making the drive back up to Jackson. Remember, do not use any tippet lighter than 3x! Get those fish in as quickly as possible, keep them in the water, get the hook out as fast as possible and release them for another day.more...
